Preparation

Combine all ingredients until you get a paste. Take a shower and use a natural soap before applying the scrub. When you have removed the soap, take the paste with your fingers and exfoliate your body in a circular motion. After giving a 10-minute massage, rinse with warm water. Repeat the exfoliation 2 times a week.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sea salt
  • ½ cup of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of lavender essential oil

Preparation and application

Make sure the salt is the correct size to exfoliate. If the beans are too large, crush them in a pestle first. Combine all ingredients. Clean the skin and apply the paste. Do a 3-minute massage taking care not to touch the areas that have sores or are sensitive. Wash with warm water and apply a light moisturizing cream.

3. Coconut Oil Scrub

Ingredients

  • ½ cup of granulated sugar
  • ½ cup organic coconut oil

Preparation and application

Combine the two ingredients and store the scrub in a glass jar. During the bath, and after rinsing the soap, do a gentle massage with the mixture. Rinse with warm water.

4. Chocolate and orange scrub

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup of almond oil
  • ½ tablespoon of vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon of dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon of vitamin E
  • 1 teaspoon of orange essential oil.

Preparation and application

Combine all ingredients and store in a glass jar with a lid. Exfoliate twice a week after removing the soap in the bath. Give a gentle circular massage for 5 minutes and rinse. Keep the scrub in a cool place.

Other recommendations

While your skin may tend to be dry, most of the time this is the result of a lack of hydration. Some tricks to reduce it are:

  • Drink water. It is recommended to consume two liters of water a day, but if it is too hot and you have a very busy day, you may need more.
  • Reduce the temperature and frequency of your baths. Some people have the habit of bathing twice or more a day when it’s too hot. If you notice that your skin is drier at this time, limit your baths to 1 a day and only with warm or fresh water.
  • Wear cotton clothing. Excessive heat can dry out your skin. To ease perspiration from your skin and prevent sweat buildup, wear light, cool cotton clothing.
