In this first recipe, we’ll show you a breakfast in which homemade granola will be used. A mixture consisting of: wheat and sunflower seeds, plus oats and nuts. The ingredients you will need are as follows:

  • 3 cups of oats (600 g).
  • 1/2 cup of water (100 ml).
  • 1/4 cup of oil (60 ml).
  • 1/5 cup of honey (60 ml).
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (70 g).
  • 1/2 cup of wheat seeds (70 g).
  • 1 cup of blueberries (100 g).
  • 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds (70 g).
  • 1/2 cup of chopped almonds (70 g).

Method of preparation

  • Preparation is very simple. First, the oven must be preheated to 120 °C.
  • Meanwhile, mix the water, oil and honey in a pan and heat until you get a thick dough. In a bowl, mix all the seeds and add the previous sauce.
  • When the mixture is well integrated, place in the oven for 40 minutes. During this process, it is important to stir the mixture from time to time to avoid burning the seeds.
  • Finally, just remove it from the oven and let it cool to finish this first recipe with granola.

2. Breaded cheese sticks with granola

In this granola recipe, we’re going to vary the components of the mixture a bit. It can be used to prepare a delicious starter or serve as an accompaniment to any meal. You will need the following ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of flour (50 g).
  • 1 medium egg (60 g).
  • 1/2 cup of raisins (70 g).
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (70 g).
  • 1 spoon of milk (15 ml).
  • 3 pieces of mozzarella (100 g).
  • Sunflower oil and salt (to taste).
  • 1/2 tablespoon of pepper (2.5 g).
  • 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds (70 g).

Method of preparation

  • The first step will be to cut the mozzarella into rectangular, straight pieces. Then break the egg into a bowl and beat it along with the milk.
  • In another bowl, add the flour and mix with salt and pepper. Then beat the seeds, raisins and nuts in a food processor and place the result on a plate.
  • One by one, pass the mozzarella sticks through the flour, then the egg, and finally the crushed granola. This way, they will be breaded with the mixture of oilseeds and raisins.
  • Once breaded, they should be placed on a baking sheet and sprinkled with sunflower oil. Just roast them for 10 minutes at 180 ºC to be ready.

3. Avocado sauce with granola

The third recipe we’ll show you is a sauce that  goes perfectly with the sticks prepared in the previous recipe. To make this sauce, you can use the same seed mixture from the previous granola recipe, using walnuts, raisins, and sunflower seeds. So, the rest of the ingredients will be:

  • 1 avocado (60 g).
  • 1/4 cup of water (60 ml).
  • 1/2 tablespoon of garlic powder (2.5 g).
  • 1 tablespoon of oil (10 ml).
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice (5 ml).
  • 2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar (10 ml).

Method of preparation

  • For simple and quick preparation of this sauce, just empty the avocado and place it in a blender with the granola, vinegar, lemon juice, water and garlic powder.
  • Then beat until smooth and serve in a bowl.
  • Finally, add the oil to accentuate the flavor and finish off other granola recipes.

4. Strawberry and white chocolate mousse

The last of the granola recipes is a dessert that uses a mixture of seeds and oilseeds as a base for biscuits. The ingredients of this granola recipe are:

  • 1 tablespoon of a gelling agent, can be industrial thickeners or agar-agar (10 g).
  • 1 cup of mixed walnuts, almonds and sunflower seeds (200 g).
  • 1/2 liter of fresh cream (550 ml).
  • 1 bar and a half of white chocolate (200 g).
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (80 g).
  • 2 cups of washed strawberries (300 g).
  • 1/4 cup of sugar (50 g).

Method of preparation

  • First, crush the seed and nut mixture to form the base.  Move to a cake tin.
  • Add the mixture well with a spoon and refrigerate for 30 minutes. In another container, mix the chocolate with 150 grams of cream and beat. Then pour over the base in the fridge.
  • Hydrate half a scoop of gelling agent with two tablespoons of water,  melt in microwave and allow to cool completely. When cold, add to chocolate. Then beat another 200 grams of cream and pour over the entire mixture.
  • For strawberry mousse , cut the fruit into small pieces. Then heat it in a pan  to form a strawberry puree. Allow this puree to cool to room temperature.
  • After that, beat and add the final 200 grams of cream to the white chocolate and mix with the strawberry puree and the rest of the gelling agent, hydrated in the same way as before.
  • Finally, pour the strawberry mousse over the chocolate and let it cool for about four hours. When it’s done, you can decorate it over the top with sliced ​​strawberries or whole walnuts.
